I am a navy brat and was born in Puerto Rico - Rodriguez Army Hospital - back in 1964. I have one sister - don't really know her anymore though - went our separate ways and all. Most fantastic part of my younger life was my father being stationed in Germany - it is beautiful! He had 2 tours there. First 2 young memories are going to a miniature town in Holland (I believe), was about 4, and it was the first time I felt big! Not many things were smaller than me in the world and I really loved that day. Second is watching a sci-fi movie for the first time - was Godzilla - loved that movie!!! I still do to this day. Have all the films - plushes - toys - well not all the toys but a lot of them. I became a huge sci-fi fan then and have watched everything I could since then. A huge Trekkie in junior and high school. Still enjoy sitting down and watching the show. First group I ever remember being absolutely mad for was the Beatles then came the Bay City Rollers ... loved their accents, their trousers (wanted a pair!) and would listen to everything I could about them. My elementary and junior high years - dull really. I went to 13 schools overall by the time I graduated high school. In 8th grade we moved back to Germany! I lived in Aldingerstrasse (Ludwigsburg) - outside of Pattonville - my father worked on Patch Barracks. Went to Stuttgart American High School - Class of 1982. I really loved it there. So much I wanted my family to leave me when they returned the end of my junior year - they didn't though. Mum told me last year she was afraid I would never have come back to the states. May not have, I loved Europe and really wanted to see the UK while we were there. My dad turned down a tour in London :( . Was in the Engineer's Explorer Club, Literary Club, Chess Club, AJROTC - an all around geek girl. When we returned to the states I joined a Computer Club at NASA thru the school. That was fun! We were writing computer programs. I really disliked the school I went my senior year to, first time I ever felt lonely in my life. Not many kids talked to me (in fact never went to their reunion - 10th or 20th - not on the invite list and not on their lost list :( ). I am the mum to 3 - a daughter who is 21 and a 2nd daughter who is 10. My son would have been 20 this year. He was killed when I was pregnant with the baby. I am not a big talker in person - computer is so much easier to chat. Rather dark personality - still am nice though! Don't bite, well .... only if you ask. If I can find my poetry, will not be hard to figure out. Quiet, introverted, shy. My perfect job would be in a library - as long as it is with the books! I wish I could travel again. Would love to visit the UK and Japan, revisit Germany. I loved Ludwigsburg and Bavaria. It was really cool having a castle in walking distance. It is interesting to look at the past - some good and some bad - it does make you the person you are now. I am doing this to get back in touch with the world .. been too long held in grief. Things I like ... Sewing, knitting, collecting dolls, I collect from composite to ball jointed dolls, Godzilla & his movies - toys, collect teddy bears, love to read ... I have started to watch Torchwood and really like the show. I can recognize the loneliness they feel, unable to talk to other's, not really wanting to get too close then you let the other's see a weakness in you. My favourites there are Jack, Ianto, and Tosh. Jack is the exact opposite of me and it is refreshing see someone who looks like they really like their job. It has struck a cord with me. I like to role play and cosplay - for a little while you get to be someone else. Used to play Vampire - The Masquerade - someone may have know me back then on AOL or a group I played with - characters then were Ankh Samonn and Vyper Piquer - a psychotic, man hating vampire, men were her pets & to be abused, (going through a divorce at the time, she was perfect - violent, relieved my stress, and very surprising men loved her & stood in line to be her pet). Ravyn Bryce was another psychotic vampire in a few stories. I still love to watch horror and sci-fi shows. Love going to the cinema if a good movie is playing. Enjoy going to Conventions.
